Yvonne D'Angelo has been an accomplished painter and art teacher since 1968.

Born and raised in a hamlet along the beautiful Hudson River in upstate New York, it is easy to understand how she took to painting quite naturally, so exposed to the majesty of Mother Nature that she woke up to behold everyday. She holds a degree in Art Education from Mt. St. Mary's College in New York for her Liberal Arts foundation and the University of Memphis College of Art where she perfected her skills in drawing, painting, basic design and art history. She has taught in a number of schools across the country.

Yvonne holds both a certificate in Mural Painting from the Gradisher Decorative Art Studio in Atlanta, and a certificate in Mina Eiger's Brush Language Technique from her studio in New York. She is a member of the Society of Decorative Painters and the Memphis Germantown Art League. In her desire to keep up with the leading trends while honing her skills, Yvonne recently returned to college to become recertified.

Her love of painting angels is well known by many people, and her painting entitled "Peace Flight" has been made into prints and note cards. Her artwork has been published in Angel magazine.

Because of the necessity of being familiar with a variety of artistic mediums during her Elementary and Junior High School teaching years, she expresses her love of painting in two methods — fine art and decorative wall art. Currently she teaches oil and acrylic painting in Collierville, TN. She paints decorative wall paintings for clients homes and renders oil paintings of still lifes, landscapes and whatever "tickles her fancy" in fine art.

Keep an eye on this site for her latest creations.
